Korean alley...골목

While watching korean dramas or movies, you probably got to see what the korean alley looks like. In korean it's called "golmok" 골목. That is where poor people live, and where the traditional restaurants are with the ahjumma serving food. Contrary to many people, i would defenatly Love to go and spend some days in a 골목. I think that being there, will make me feel what real korea is. Seoul might be a giant modern city, yet the alley hides more secrets about korean life. Myeongdong, gangnam, sangnamdong...these are fancy places, but we only see what we generally and mostly see in other modern cities. Let us imagine : after your first night there, you wake up and decide to go out for a walk. The lady living next door wishes you a good morning, two paces later you see kids playing popular games, others buying snaks. In a restaurant you hear a lady singing korean folk songs which you recognize.
Wake up! The imagination stops here for now haha this is how i imagine living in a 골목 for a while. Since you got a taste of it now, i hope you who are reading this start liking the korean alley just like i do. The korean alley is like the vintage korea. There you can find stores that sell old CDs of some old artists or even traditional ones. You can also find old korean books being sold. That is heaven haha
